My 16 year old daughter has been going through a tough time. She loves her furbies so much, and many kind souls have been gifting them to her over the holidays to lift her spirits and grow her collection.

My daughter, who is high functioning autistic, and also suffers from depression and anxiety, has many unusual fixations, but her furby fixation has been for around a decade now and she adores them.

She is going through a period of change, and adjustment which is causing her distress, and somehow people in her life keep coming across furbies which she considers to be almost too rare or expensive to acquire.

Her joy is infectious, and beautiful, and her gratitude is so heartfelt.

One of these (the plain dark blue one) she found herself in a basket in a thrift shop for 50c!

I’d love it if the Reddit Furby community could show her some love.

My love to you all of you, also.

I’ve met some interesting people on our furby journey, and furby people just seem to be my kind of people. You are all so sweet, kind, and quirky (just like my beloved daughter).

from a proud Dad.
